Dear guests,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bas and Vera Zadelaar welcome you to the grounds of La Maison du Sellier and hope you will enjoy your stay here. This document contains the underlying Terms and Conditions for all G\u00eete bookings. They may seem a bit intimidating, but they are important to clearly communicate the nature of the agreement between each guest and the Owners. We hope they will help prevent any future problems.
The Lead Guest is responsible for ensuring that all guests are aware of these Terms and Conditions, insofar as they are relevant to their stay. The Lead Guest is named in the booking communication, which may take different forms depending on the source of the Booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The G\u00eete Welcome Book<\/strong> is also part of these Terms, although it mainly contains instructions, advice and tips on how to make the most of your stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Parties<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1.1 The Booking is a contract between Bas and Vera Zadelaar (the Owners) and you, the renter (the Guest), as stated in the various booking communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.2 The Booking includes all communications between the Guest and the Owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Costs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

2.1 The rental includes water, electricity, and the use of the gardens and swimming pool of La Maison du Sellier\/the g\u00eete. The swimming pool and garden are shared between the two g\u00eetes, called \u201cMaison Toile Moss\u201d and \u201cMaison de Terre\u201d. The rental price excludes the local tourist tax (taxe de s\u00e9jour), which must be paid in cash by the Guest upon arrival (in 2025 between \u20ac1.60 and \u20ac3 per adult per night aged 18 or over).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.2 To book the accommodation, the Guest must read and agree to these terms and conditions. For bookings made more than 56 days before arrival, the Guest can choose to pay a 50% deposit. The full amount is due 6 weeks (42 days) before arrival. Alternatively, the Guest can pay the full amount at the time of booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.3 We accept all major credit cards, or you can pay via PayPal on our website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.4 Payment via bank transfer is also possible. Please contact us for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.5 After receiving payment and completing the booking form (on the website), the Owners will send a booking confirmation. This is a formal acceptance of the booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Booking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

3.1 The accommodation is available for the people listed on the booking form. We must be notified in advance of any changes. The maximum capacity of Maison Toile Moss is 4-6 people and Maison de Terre 6 people. This number may not be exceeded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.2 The rental period begins at 4:00 PM on the first day and ends at 10:00 AM on the last day. The Owners are not obligated to offer the accommodation earlier, and the Guest may not stay after the specified time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.3 The Owners' liability towards the Guest shall under no circumstances exceed the amount already paid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guestlist<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

4.1 The Lead Guest must be a member of the party, all names and full contact details of which are stated on the form \u201cFiche Individuelle de police Pour Les Touristes Etrangers<\/strong><\/a>\u201c, to be completed upon arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.2 No one other than those named on the said form may join the party except with the formal permission of the Owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.3 Groups booked through an external booking platform must also complete the form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day visitors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

5. Guests may not invite any third parties not named in the Booking without prior notification to and permission from the Owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellation policy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

6. We understand that sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us in writing. In the event of cancellation, the following fees, based on the rental price, will be due from the date we receive your notification. We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • More than 30 days before arrival date:<\/strong> 50% refund.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Between 30 and 7 days before the arrival date:<\/strong> 25% refund.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Less than 7 days before arrival:<\/strong> no refund<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Damage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    7.1 We charge a \u20ac300 deposit and expect guests to treat the g\u00eetes with respect. Please report any damage immediately. The deposit will be refunded upon proper use of the gite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7.2 The use of sunscreen products containing bronzer is prohibited due to the risk of staining. Any replacement costs will be charged to the Guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7.3 Meld eventuele defecten binnen 24 uur<\/strong> na aankomst. Daarna kan schade bij vertrek aan de gast worden toegeschreven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Cleaning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    8.1 De Gast wordt verzocht de g\u00eete netjes achter te laten en als het lukt de bedden bij vertrek zelf af te halen. We rekenen ivm de grootte van het huis een bijdrage in de schoonmaakkosten, maar behouden ons het recht voor om bij buitensporige rommel \u20ac100,- extra in rekening te brengen, naast de schoonmaakkosten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Insurance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    9.1 The Owners are not responsible for travel problems or cancellations by third parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The house and grounds<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    10.1 The entire house is a historic building and therefore has characteristic features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    10.2 The house is situated in a quiet, rural location. We are not responsible for any disturbances outside the grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    10.3 The Guest may not throw parties without the permission of the Owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    10.4 Bed- en badlinnen worden verstrekt. Extra zwembadhanddoeken zijn beschikbaar op verzoek. Beddengoed en handdoeken zijn alleen voor binnengebruik. Een babybedje is gratis beschikbaar, maar zonder beddengoed (een matras met laken is aanwezig).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    10.5 Gasten mogen geen overlast veroorzaken voor buren. Onacceptabel gedrag kan leiden tot verwijdering zonder restitutie.
    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Smoking and Pets<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property and around the pool. Pets are not allowed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Liability<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      1. The Owners are not liable for any temporary defects or disruptions in public facilities, loss, damage, or injury.
        \u2013 tijdelijke onderbreking van nutsvoorzieningen of apparatuur
        \u2013 schade, verlies of letsel door omstandigheden buiten hun controle (zoals weer, stakingen, oorlog)
        \u2013 schade of onbruikbaarheid van de accommodatie v\u00f3\u00f3r aankomst (volledige restitutie volgt dan binnen 7 dagen)
        \u2013 letsel, overlijden of verlies gedurende het verblijf
        \u2013 veiligheid van gasten of hun bezittingen; kinderen moeten altijd worden begeleid, vooral bij het zwembad (geen badmeester)
        \u2013 schade of diefstal van auto\u2019s<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Use of the pool is at your own risk; children must be supervised at all times. The gate must be closed after use.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Complaints<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        1. In geval van klachten verzoeken wij u ons direct te contacteren, zodat we eventuele problemen snel kunnen oplossen. Klachten n\u00e1 vertrek moeten binnen 14 dagen schriftelijk worden gestuurd.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Personal Information and Data Protection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          16.1 All guests must provide basic information that can be shared with authorities in case of emergency or for relevant purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Applicable Law<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
