Brantôme
The Venice of the Dordogne
Approximately a 40-minute drive from Cherval lies Brantôme, a picturesque town often compared to Venice because of its beautiful location on the River Dronne. Approximately 30 minutes from Cherval lies the impressive Château de Bourdeilles, a medieval castle overlooking the River Dronne. Grotte de Villars
The Grotte de Villars, about 45 minutes from Cherval, is one of the largest caves in the Dordogne and is known for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites, as well as prehistoric rock paintings. Château de Puyguilhem
This elegant Renaissance castle, located in Villars approximately 45 minutes from Cherval, is often compared to the Loire Valley châteaux. Château de Puyguilhem has an impressive façade and beautifully furnished rooms with furniture and artworks from the Renaissance period. Saint-Jean-de-Côle

The Grand Etang
